Hot Blackening Powders, Brün 5501 and Brün Rekord – Brünofix

Brün 5501 is a product in powder form to black oxidise metal surfaces. It is used in a quick-immersion black oxidation procedure according to the German standard DIN 50938. Brün 5501 is especially suited for uniform black colouration of steel, iron and carbon nitrified surfaces, especially improved black oxidation of sheet metal, rolled and pulled material will be achieved. Application of Brün 5501 offers unconditional dimensional accuracy and good corrosion protection. The layer is resistant to bending and abrasion, and has a smooth, unstructured appearance.
